Beginners Spanish
After completion of the Beginners lessons, students will be able to:
- Use appropriately the verb “to be”
- Use regular and irregular verbs in the present tense
- Converse through dialogues and engage in question/answer exchanges
- Effectively introduce themselves, speak about their work, describe their family status
- Participate in social situations such as meeting and talking with new people, checking into a hotel, ordering in restaurants, taking a taxi, asking for directions, etc.
Intermediate Spanish
At the end on the Intermediate Spanish lessons, students will be able to:
- Show proficiency in both oral and written Spanish
- Engage in conversations using proper rules of grammar
- Combine grammar drills and dialogues to enable them to converse using proper language structure
- Participate in role plays, interviews, guided conversations and respond to questions.
Advanced Spanish
After completion of the Advanced Spanish lessons, students will be able to:
- Develop proficiency and control of languages skills, and engage in complex conversations
- Apply complex grammar structures such as the Subjunctive tense of verbs
- Read and discuss Latin American literature and current events, newspaper articles, essays.
- Appreciate Latin American music, films, documentaries, and other cultural events
- Fluently communicate their own ideas and understand and analyze others’ point of view
